Items
In the Pokemon TRPG, items are handled very uniquely. Due to the lack of being able to 'buy' and 'sell' items from shops, we have a very unique system in store.
From the list of items, there are three types of items.
Shop, GM, and Event / Custom Reward
Shop items, are items able to be purchased at shops.
GM items, are items obtained through questing with a GM.
Event Rewards are only obtained through events (approved for GMs to run)
Now, for each type of item, how they work are a bit different.
For simplicity, a Pokemon may get shop items for free. The catch is, is that they may only have 5 shop items on them at a time. No, not 5 of one type, but 5 all together. So although they are free, they should be used sparingly. If you gate out of a field, you may change the shop items your PC has, so long as they stay in the 5 item limit. These cannot be changed during a quest.
GM items are quite similar. You must obtain a GM item from a quest with a GM, though you may only have 1 at a time. They are also one time uses. Failure to comply with this rule, will have your character loose questing rights.
Finally, Event Rewards. Event Rewards, you can have as many as you obtain, though you MUST list which event they were obtained from.
