1. Charizard is not better. Arcanine looks cooler, and is better competitively. Plus tigers are cooler than dragons.
If Arcanine and Charizard were battling Arcanine would win. It has better speed and is just bulky enough to take a hit or two from Charizard. Also, Arcanine can learn Thunder Fang which would destroy Charizard because it's flying subtype. And Arcanine has a move in HG/SS called Morning Sun, where it can restore HP. So, Arcanine is way better. I should write a compare and contrast paper about Arcanine and Charizard...
